Check out the accredited qualifications database at http://register.ofqual.gov.uk and either search AVA via the awarding body search, which will indicate units and qualifications developed by the awarding body, or search using "investigation" in the search bar.
Validity of qualifications
As you should expect from any training provider, Amalgam8 Training always provides a clear, descriptive title for any qualification it offers and only offers genuine nationally accredited qualifications that can be verified as such on the UK’s national database of accredited qualifications. Amalgam Training do not offer ‘endorsed’ qualifications as we feel it is misleading to pay for an endorsement and claim it to be a national qualification, neither do we offer generic qualifications in professional development and pass it off as an industry specific qualification.
Amalgam8 Training are currently the only training provider in the UK who provides the Level 4 Certificate in Incident, Fraud and Claims Investigation, this is the only certificate specifically designed to meet the needs of the industry and it has proven to be extremely valuable to the investigators who have achieved it, as more and more work providers are insisting on investigators holding it.
Before committing to any qualification you should know:
The title
The level
The awarding body
If it is a national qualification or an endorsed in-house certificate
The validity of all UK nationally accredited qualifications can be established by visiting the national database of accredited qualifications on the Ofqual website (RITS register).
